Lake Insurance

Lake Insurance Agency, Inc. is perhaps the oldest business in Laverne with the same name and location. The agency was established in 1923 by C.A. Lake and operated until 1960 without a bathroom or a telephone. In 1968, the agency was purchased by Roena Devore and in 1993 it was purchased by the current owner, Don L. Burke.

Don specializes in commercial insurance with an emphasis on the oil and gas industry. The affiliation with Loftis & Wetzel will allow Lake Insurance to have access to insurance companies and services of a very large agency. Lake offers personal, commercial, employee benefit, life and health insurance products to their clients in northwestern Oklahoma and southwestern Kansas.

The agency is currently owned and operated by a husband and wife team, Don L. Burke and Melissa Burke. Don and Melissa are involved in numerous community organizations as well as raising two daughters, J'Dena and Marisa. Don and Melissa have over 25 years of combined experience in the insurance industry.

Loftis & Wetzel Corporation is licensed in the states of Oklahoma and Kansas.
