PROGRAMS AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Loftis & Wetzel is an experienced writer of public school systems. We market our products in north-central Oklahoma to School Districts and Vo-Techs in Kay, Grant, Osage, Noble, Garfield, Payne and Pawnee Counties.

We offer property & casualty coverages through National American Insurance Company and the Oklahoma School Insurance Group.

New to public schools is the CCOSA Endorsed 457 Retirement Program. This program offers great benefits to school participants at no cost to the district.

We offer many voluntary products sold through the school workplace as well.

CCOSA 457 SCHOOL RETIREMENT PROGRAM

Loftis & Wetzel is pleased to offer the new retirement plan of choice for public schools, the CCOSA Endorsed 457 School Retirement Plan from Life of the Southwest. The plan is the equivalent of a “401(k) for schools”. It allows employees to defer up to $12,000 ($14,000 if over 50) per year, on a tax deductible basis. Earnings accrue on a tax-deferred basis.

This program can be used in conjunction with a 403(b) annuity, or in place of it. It can be offered to your employees at no cost to the district. The big plus is funds can be withdrawn from this program prior to age 59 ½ without any tax penalty.

Every school district, regardless of size, should have this plan in place. For more information, please click here.

FULLY INSURED SCHOOL PACKAGE FROM NATIONAL AMERICAN

National American Insurance Company, an Oklahoma based company, has written a high percentage of the school districts in Oklahoma over the past decade. The program is endorsed by the Oklahoma State School Board Association. For more information, please click here.

OKLAHOMA SCHOOL INSURANCE GROUP

Formed in 2002, the Oklahoma School Insurance Group is a not-for-profit group program for member public schools. It is operated by a board of school administrators who are members of the plan. The program offers property, liability, auto and busses, general liability, school professional liability and more. It is administered by Arthur J Gallagher & Company, a large national broker with some 150 such programs country-wide. Over 120 school districts are now members of OSIG.
